In construction, doing the right thing for the environment takes a lot of forethought. Developing the scope of work for a project can be an exciting way to achieve company sustainability initiatives.
One such project comes to mind. Our existing modular carpet was well worn and had ghastly stains throughout the building. I created this SOW to reflect our sustainability policies. It is very detailed and aligned with our Executive Leadership vision. It also flowed nicely into the bid comparison spreadsheet that mirrored the SOW.
Just an example of how making an effort from the start can have a robust impact not only on the environment but on occupant health as well. Plus, it feels so good taking care of the human race on so many different levels.
